Tim Bruce and Limousine ride to victory
The first qualifier in the Amateur Tour was held this morning at the beautiful Takapoto Estate. This class also serves as a qualifier for the Global Amateur Tour (GAT) as the top two placegetters in the GAT at Takapoto will qualify for the opportunity to travel overseas with the Global Amateur Tour.
Conducted as a two-phase class, just 15 of the 45 entrants recorded clear first phase, and of these, only four combinations recorded a clear second-phase (jump-off).
Fastest of these double clears was farrier, Tim Bruce and Limousine, who completed the jump-off course in just 29.21 seconds.
Kaleigh Kent on Double J Sponge Bob Square Pants came in 2nd, with Olivia Glen and Coconella filling 3th. Brazilian visitor Alexander Dattelkremmer and Double J Beyonce were the slowest of the double clears and took out 4th. Marketing Manager, Paxton Conder combined with her mare La Fonteyn to take out 5th and Taryn Skelton-Kyd and BMW Numero Uno which she owns, filled 6th position.
