Tegan Fitzsimon and the 10-year-old gelding Windermere Cappuccino won the ESNZ Grand Prix at the Burmester Realty GP Show at Woodhill Sands on Sunday. Continuing their excellent form which has seen the pair take out the last two FEI World Cup Series, they recorded double clear rounds to secure the victory in a two-way jump-off from Auckland local Alexa Randall and her 9-year-old gelding Cirrius GNZ. Karaka teenager Olivia Dalton and Cil Dara Bonaparte took out third place after taking a single rail on their way to recording the fastest time of the small field of eight.

Fitzsimon, who has based herself on the North Island for the season is warming up for the FEI World Cup Series which starts in three week’s time and after a third last week and a win in her two Grand Prix starts so far this season, looks as if she will be a force to be reckoned with for the third year in a row.

Local rider Sophia Hall and TCG Centadel took out the Country TV Pony Grand Prix with a pair of clear rounds. Second place went to Crystal Hackett and The Dreamer, while Zara Main and Blue Crush filled third place.
