2018/19 Season Wrap-Up – Hinterland Amateur Rider Series
Our penultimate article in our 2018/2019 Season Wrap-up Series looks at the Hinterland Amateur Rider Series, which was taken out by Paxton Conder from Auckland. Conder in her first season back jumping since she sufferered a fractured C1 vertebra in a 2014 fall, dominated the series. Combining with La Fonteyn, Condor won eight of the 17 rounds she entered.
Second placing in the series was taken out by Kate Perry from Rakaia. Perry won three rounds, as did
Jess Land from Canterbury who finished in third on 98 points. Other riders to claim three wins in the series were Amy Schischka who finished 6th, Kaleigh Kent (7th), Jessica Giles (12th), and Emily Kozlowski (13th). Both Margaret Ridley, 4th overall and Marcus Rose (5th) took out four events each.

While there were 69 events in the series, only a maximum of 12 rounds counted towards the Series total. As many riders scored points in more than 12 rounds, points were adjusted for a number of riders.
