2018/19 Season Wrap Up – Equissage Horse Grand Prix
In the second of our articles wrapping up the 2018/19 Jumping season, we take a look at the Equissage Horse Grand Prix series. Once again, as with the ESNZ Premier League, Windermere Cappuccino was the clear winner. This represents a clean sweep of the major series, having won the FEI (NZ) World Cup series (click HERE) and the ESNZ Premier League (Click HERE).
Held over 44 rounds, this series was dominated by Windermere Cappuccino. Ridden fantastically all season by Tegan Fitzsimon. The combination entered 12 of the rounds, and won nine of them. The next most successful competitor was the mare LT Holst Andrea with three victories which was enough to take second place in the series. So dominant was Windermere Cappuccino, they were sitting on 112 points before the end of February and did not compete in the last five rounds, during which time LT Holst Andrea took advantage to score 40 points, but still come up 26 points short.
