The Dunstan Horsefeeds & Equifibre Pro-Amateur Series was won by Sally Clark from Dannevirke riding the home-bred mare Victoria’s Secret. Clark, an eventing Silver Medalist at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, was rewarded for her consistency across the series, which comprised of 54 events.

One of a number of riders who won five events in the series, Clark took out the title by just two points from Queenstown’s Lauren Buckley. Buckley, who held a slight lead going into the Glistening waters Final could only score eight points, which was not enough to fend off the challenge from Clark who scored 14 points, which was enough to reverse the order and take the title.

Christine Cornege from Cambridge was another rider to record five wins, which was enough to secure her third place in the series. The other contestant who won five events was Ohaupo rider Emma Gaze who scored a total of 76 points to hold fifth placing.

While there were 54 events in the series, only a maximum of 12 rounds counted towards the Series total. Just a couple of riders scored points in more than 12 rounds, which meant that their total point score had to be adjusted.
